This 7-day immersive short course explores how communities across Bali navigate the opportunities and challenges of rapid development, tourism, environmental change, and natural hazards. Participants will engage with local organisations, community leaders, practitioners, and researchers through field visits, workshops, and structured discussions. The program examines community resilience, sustainable tourism, environmental management, and local governance while considering how cultural values shape responses to contemporary challenges. Participants will gain practical insights into sustainable development, resilience, and community-led approaches to addressing complex social and environmental issues.
